Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving key business targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on events and community initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and adaptability to flexible schedules.
