Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while achieving key results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and recognition; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance; review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and operations, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends is essential.
