Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, review, and develop associates; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety, handle concerns, and maintain standards.
- Operations & Safety: Conduct walks, manage inventory, review cameras, prioritize safety, and transport sick pets to vets.
- Financial & Strategic: Communicate objectives, improve processes, partner on events, and ensure policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service passion, operational expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Excel in delegation, feedback, conflict resolution, and driving results in dynamic environments.
