Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; oversee inventory and events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; review cameras for safety and coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, operational execution, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
