Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key metrics, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct compliance walks, and oversee inventory and events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, operational execution, and data-driven decision-making. Flexibility for varied schedules is essential.
