Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks; oversee inventory and events; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; partner on community initiatives like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in sales driving, team motivation, and operational efficiency. Flexibility for varied shifts and a passion for pets are essential.
