Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values, driving targeted outcomes through exceptional service and efficient execution in our North Bay store.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews and foster engagement via open-door culture and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage escalations, events, and compliance through monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Finance: Maintain inventory, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for sales and profitability.
- Pet Safety: Respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, coaching, problem-solving, and passion for pets. Experience in pet retail preferred.
