Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while achieving targeted results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; monitor cameras for safety; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; prioritize safe environments and policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring proven retail leadership, strong team-building abilities, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge.
