Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and events.
- Operations & Compliance: Review cameras for safety; handle sick pets; oversee opening/closing; communicate objectives and prioritize improvements.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership to empower teams, customer service expertise, HR proficiency, and passion for pets. Skills in financial oversight, process improvement, and fostering engagement are essential. North Vancouver location offers a vibrant community-focused retail environment.
