Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety and health; maintain store standards; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and events; review cameras for safety.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; prioritize safe environments and compliance.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, expertise in customer service, operational efficiency, and financial oversight. Passion for pets, problem-solving, and adaptability to flexible schedules (days, nights, weekends) are essential. Proficiency in inventory tools, safety protocols, and associate development tools preferred.
