Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe, welcoming environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, root-cause issues, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
