Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and compliance.
• Operations & Safety: Review cameras for risk assessment; handle sick/injured pets; oversee opening/closing; communicate objectives and cascade priorities.

Experience & Skills

Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
