Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; oversee inventory and events.
• Operations & Finance: Maintain standards, review cameras for compliance, communicate objectives, and take action on pet welfare issues.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership to empower teams, customer service expertise, operational acumen, and passion for pets. Proficiency in HR functions, financial analysis, and process improvement is essential. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment prioritizing safety, engagement, and results.
