Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety; conduct monthly walks; monitor cameras; manage inventory and events; prioritize safety and compliance.
- Business Management: Drive profitability; analyze metrics; execute strategies; communicate objectives; collaborate with leadership team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry passion. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability required.
