Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and foster an exceptional environment while ensuring compliance and team empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, deliver reviews, and build engagement through recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent service, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and respond to concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze financials, optimize operations, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge.
