Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service, efficient execution, and team empowerment in a fast-paced retail environment focused on pets.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct safety walks and monitor compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, manage inventory, and communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and a genuine love for pets. - Handle pet health issues and maintain a safe environment for pets and people
