Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and foster an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and pet parents; manage escalated concerns, lead events, and maintain policy compliance through monthly walks.
• Operations & Financials: Oversee inventory, communicate objectives, review cameras for safety, and take immediate action on pet health issues; collaborate on openings/closings.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in team motivation, sales driving, and process improvement. Proficiency in HR functions, scheduling, and financial accountability is essential.
