Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle escalations; lead events and adoption partnerships.
• Operations & Compliance: Manage inventory, conduct Core/Services Walks, review cameras for safety, and maintain policy adherence.
• Financial & Strategic: Drive results, communicate objectives, and adapt to changing priorities.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service passion, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team motivation, conflict resolution, inventory control, and data-driven decision-making. Experience with high-volume retail and safety protocols is essential.
