Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, reviews, and engagement; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; handle customer concerns; conduct safety walks and inventory checks; partner on events.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; review cameras for accountability.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, and pet industry passion. Key skills include team motivation, P&L management, customer service, compliance, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability is essential.
