Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to achieve targeted results.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, optimize processes, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring proven retail leadership, strong team-building abilities, customer service expertise, and financial acumen. Pet industry knowledge is a plus.
