Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and handle grievances to build an engaged team.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, compliance walks, inventory, and safety protocols including camera reviews and vet transports.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management with P&L accountability, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry passion, and skills in operations, customer service, team building, and data-driven decision-making. Flexibility for varied schedules is essential.

- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred (experience)

- Drive exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Conduct store walks, inventory management, and compliance audits
- Analyze business metrics, execute corporate strategies, and achieve profitability goals
- Foster company culture, empower teams, and manage HR functions like grievances
