Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety and health; maintain store standards; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and events.
- Operational Excellence: Drive financial results; communicate objectives; prioritize safety; collaborate with leadership team for community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and pet care knowledge. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, financial analysis, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
