Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events and community partnerships.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, review cameras for compliance, communicate objectives, and prioritize in-stock availability.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce policies, handle sick/injured pets, and maintain store standards.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service passion, financial savvy, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, scheduling, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
