Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance.
- Operations & Financials: Collaborate on events; review cameras for safety; communicate objectives; handle openings/closings and sick pet protocols.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, and ability to deliver results. Excel in customer service, conflict resolution, financial oversight, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
