Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision by driving culture, achieving targets, and ensuring exceptional service while maintaining compliance with policies and ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, and oversee inventory and events.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies, review cameras for accountability, and drive profitability through efficient operations.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, P&L responsibility, and a passion for pets. Key skills include strategic delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and fostering high engagement in dynamic environments.
