Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build an open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct walks and monitor compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies, manage inventory, and drive profitability goals.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer focus, and operational expertise. Pet care passion is a plus. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible availability.

- Conduct store walks, monitor cameras, and enforce policies
