Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion pet parent service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead exceptional customer service; conduct monthly walks, camera reviews, and compliance checks; manage events and inventory.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and adapt to changing priorities for optimal results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational execution, financial acumen, and problem-solving. Experience with pet retail, safety protocols, and community engagement is a plus.

- Manage inventory, scheduling, and compliance with policies
