Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all store operations, including safety for people and pets, pet parent experiences, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards via monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance, and handle openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership to empower teams, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, feedback responsiveness, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
