Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, training, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, monitor cameras, and prioritize a safe environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze financials, manage inventory, communicate objectives, and partner on community events for profitability and growth.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team development, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include conflict resolution, operational efficiency, compliance knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment with flexible scheduling.
