Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Based in Port Jefferson Station, New York, you'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning. Build an open-door culture, address grievances, and celebrate team achievements.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers. Manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, customer service expertise, and financial acumen. Pet industry knowledge is a plus. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability to dynamic retail demands.
