Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient daily execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance; partner on events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; review security footage for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, financial oversight, and operations.
