Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and oversee opening/closing procedures.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, review security footage for coaching, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for pets.
