Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, compliance, inventory, and events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and cascade strategic objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team development and customer service, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
