Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, review, and develop associates; create schedules; foster open-door culture and high engagement through recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events and adoption partnerships.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, compliance, safety walks, camera reviews; communicate objectives and drive results.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building, customer service, and pet safety knowledge. Key skills include HR expertise, financial oversight, conflict resolution, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Passion for pets and community impact required.

- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Manage inventory, scheduling, and compliance with company policies
- Conduct safety walks, camera reviews, and pet health interventions
- Drive store standards, community events, and continuous process improvements
