Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; prioritize safety; oversee inventory and camera reviews; handle sick pets and store procedures.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; collaborate on events and improvements.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and operations, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process optimization, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability is essential.
