Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; prioritize safety; oversee inventory and camera reviews; handle sick pets and store procedures.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; collaborate on events and adoption partnerships; maintain policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service passion, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
