Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; foster open communication and high engagement through recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe, welcoming environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, optimize processes, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and P&L management. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for pets. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible hours.
