Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to achieve targeted business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; review cameras for compliance; manage openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; optimize inventory; partner on events and community initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, delegation, and a passion for pet care. Must thrive in dynamic environments, prioritize safety, and drive engagement.
