Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, deliver reviews, and build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on community events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, P&L accountability, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include strategic delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and fostering high engagement in fast-paced settings.
