Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct monthly walks; maintain compliance; manage inventory and events; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet care knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.
