Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all store operations, including safety, pet parent experience, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution in a fast-paced pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, events, and compliance with policies.
• Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies, optimize inventory, and achieve profitability targets.
• Conduct monthly walks, camera reviews, and respond to feedback for continuous improvement.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and customer service. Proficiency in operational tools, conflict resolution, and fostering engagement is essential. Passion for pets and ability to thrive in flexible schedules required.
