Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and prioritize safety for all.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, operations, and financial oversight. Key skills include conflict resolution, inventory control, and a genuine passion for pets. Flexibility for varied shifts and strong HR acumen are essential.

- Collaborate on community events and adoption partnerships
- Handle store opening/closing and emergency pet care situations
- Monitor store cameras and provide coaching for accountability
