Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health, deliver outstanding customer service, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize safety via camera reviews.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, financial acumen, and customer obsession. Experience with P&L, inventory systems, and compliance is essential.
