Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop, and recognize associates; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; address grievances and build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and compliance.
- Operations & Financials: Review cameras for safety, communicate objectives, partner on events, and continuously improve processes for efficient execution.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, financial savvy, and a passion for customer service. Proficiency in HR functions, conflict resolution, and operational tools required. Must thrive in dynamic environments, delegate effectively, and inspire teams to exceed goals.
