Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage customer interactions; conduct safety walks; oversee inventory and compliance; review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; lead events and community partnerships; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and a passion for customer service. Proficiency in team motivation, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making is essential.
