Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance metrics; execute corporate strategies; oversee opening/closing procedures and community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team building, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments.

- Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, and monitor store cameras
- Drive profitability by executing corporate strategies and analyzing business metrics
- Facilitate associate training, scheduling, and succession planning
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Partner on community events and adoption group collaborations
- Handle pet welfare issues including vet transport as needed
