Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering an open-door culture with associate engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, compliance, inventory, and store events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and cascade business objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team development, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting.
