Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, pet parent experiences, safety, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, execute strategies, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for associates, pets, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent service, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and respond to concerns.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, drive profitability, and partner on community events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and a genuine love for pets. Experience with scheduling tools, performance metrics, and safety protocols preferred.
