Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; foster open-door culture, deliver reviews, and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct compliance walks, oversee inventory, and review security footage.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and lead events with community partners like adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, operations, and financials. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and pet care passion. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible scheduling.
