Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate development to build high-engagement teams.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, compliance, and inventory standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and cascade strategic objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in P&L management, team motivation, and customer-centric operations. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
